“ I have eaten from this restaurant before. There's 2 different locations New Bern ave and Rock Quarry rd. Serving seafood and soul food. I only had seafood (fish) from the New Bern ave location. The fish did not disappoint. Today I went to the Rock Quarry rd location and got the baked chicken and it was tender falling off the bone. I have not been disappointed with either location. I would highly recommend. ”

“ Such a great mom and pop! Two locations and we prefer the original. Their turkey, rice and gravy plate has better flavor. Super friendly staff let us try the pork feet and it did not disappoint. Loved the hush puppies and yams were perfect. ”

“ This establishment has been around forever, so when my friend from out of town stated she wanted some pig feet I knew where to take her. Everything is home cooked, so when they run out more than likely they will not have for the rest of the day so don't go in near closing. It's a very small place with just stools and a bar that seats maybe 3-4 people. Majority of their orders are take out, and you can call to place an order. My friend enjoyed the pigs feet, she did state she wish there was more gravy. I had the turkey legs, had plenty of gravy and it comes with white rice and two sides. I had the Mac and cheese with turnip greens. The turkey legs fell off the bone but seemed dry. My friend stated that's from overcooking them, but I'm not sure. ”

“ This has always been my go-to for some amazing seafood and soul food. I have never had a bad experience and the customer service is always phenomenal and friendly. More importantly, I came in with a last-minute decent-sized special order and the manager assisted me with everything I needed, and had me in and out in about 20 minutes. They have no idea the impact they had on what I needed today and I am forever grateful. I have always and will always support this business and recommend them to anyone. “ I have been craving chicken gizzards for a few months. I had heard of Jack's but always seemed out of my way. Today was my lucky day. I finally got to try the food. The staff was polite and helpful. The ordering area was clean and inviting. Gizzards and collards were a 5 out of 5. Both were perfectly seasoned, and the gizzards were fried right and with the right amount of crunch that I liked. The mac and cheese were not great ( 3 out of 5). It was bland and tasted like an imitation brand or just watered down a bit. I can't describe it. The mac and cheese can use improvements. Overall good southern food at an affordable price. The food I paid for aligned with the food I received. No major complaints here. Try it! ”

“ 7/30/22: Visited for this location for the first time today. It's nestled in a little, busy shopping center off of Rock Quarry Rd. next to Pizza Hut. There is plenty of parking in the lot. There is nowhere to sit inside the restaurant. All of the chairs are piled on top of the tables. It is completely carry out at this time. There's a sign that said "Masks Required", but they don't enforce it. There were many people standing inside the restaurant without one on, so... The cashier was friendly. The food came out quickly. I just don't understand why the fries were already soggy. Also, the yams tasted watery. The popcorn shrimp, smothered pork chop, and fried chicken was good though. I'd definitely go back... ”
